motion. QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to performeach essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required
knowledge, skill, and ability. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEB.S. Degree
in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology,
Industrial Engineering, or a similar field with at least three
years experience in an Engineering environment and at least five
years in a manufacturing environment. I have thoroughly
demonstrated an understanding of production-type equipment and
manufacturing environments, including PLC and industrial automation
controls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the
following. Other duties may beassigned. Provides the necessary
engineering required for the operation of the plant, including
existing, new, or modified installations. Work with Timken R&D
equipment group to develop new equipment and processes. Initiates
improvements and cost savings for all plant operations and
facilities through engineering technology, best practices, and
Lean/5S activities, including Kaizen events. Support the
Maintenance department to ensure the plant's equipment and
structures are reliable and available to meet production schedules.
Effectively manage projects, which includes establishing detailed
and defined scopes, detailed cost estimates, timelines with
milestones, and deliverables, and provide guidance and expertise to
keep projects on track and within budget. Provides engineering
review of plant projects. Keep informed on new technology and
equipment that may be used for new projects and improvement of
existing facilities. Provides training and development to
production employees to ensure proper operation of installations,
which will promote safe working conditions, increased efficiency,
and quality products. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret
documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports, operating instructions, capital requests, and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of an organization. OTHER SKILLS AND
ABILITIES Proficient user of computer equipment. 3D Solid Modeling,
preferably SolidWorks 2D CAD, preferably AutoCAD or Draft sight PLC
Programming, preferably with Allen-Bradley Microsoft Office Strong
project management skills Strong working knowledge of pneumatic,
hydraulic, air, steam, and other mechanical systems. Working
knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA, and Environmental regulations
Familiar with Preventative Maintenance procedures and best
