Job Description:
Position Summary The sanitation worker is a member of a
Sanitation team whose duties are to clean and maintain the
Manufacturing plant. This will involve but is not limited to
cleaning production areas, machines, and equipment in food
processing facility, cleaning floors, rest rooms, and break rooms,
washing walls, cleaning glass, removing rubbish, and performing
routine ground maintenance. The sanitation crew is required to work
quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods
between the plant's normal production shifts, and be able to work
as a team along with other members of the team, under stressful
conditions and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per
the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety and
regulatory guidelines.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc.
during long periods of time.
Follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Dismantle, cleans, and reassembles machine/production
equipment.
Follow safety, food safety (HACCP, GMP's, and Sanitation SOP's)
regulatory and operating procedures.
Follow procedures for handling, storing, moving and using chemical
cleaners, in accordance with plant SOP's.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or
vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Service, clean and supply break room.
Clean and polish all fixtures e.g. drinking fountain, door handles,
and sinks.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using approved
cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, and warehouse shelves.
Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning
solutions, according to specifications.
Scrub warehouse flooring with motorized scrubber.
Clean outside grounds of paper, trash, and debris.
Clean trash compactor, and card board area.
Monitor building cleanliness and safety by performing such tasks as
placing caution signs as need, checking chemicals are properly
stored, and dispensing bottles are clearly mark. Ensure that
hazards are not created.
Move supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks (pallet
jack).
Notify supervisor concerning the need for supplies.
Set up, arrange, and remove production tables, chairs, to prepare
facilities for pre and/or post operations.

Position Qualifications Education and Experience: 1 year experience
in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing environment
High school diploma or GED PREFERRED
Qualification:
GMP trained
Food industry experience
Sanitation experience
