Job Description:
Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:Responsible for evaluating and
recommending rate levels and pricing alternatives in relation to
company goals and objectives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These are core
competencies required for the position)Perform pricing functions
including answering customer inquiries, checking rate inquiries,
monitoring rates and lane averages, processing loads booked without
rates, and review pricing agreementsAssist with monitoring the
integrity of the Pricing SystemPerform short term pricing functions
by gathering pertinent information from Pricing System to evaluate
market conditions and recommend favorable pricing actionsCreate new
or update existing customer profilesPerforms other related duties
as assignedRequirementsKNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE KEY
COMPETENCIES:Minimum two (2) years of related work experience
preferredRelevant education may partially substitute for years of
experienceDemonstrated proficiency in the use of personal
computers, including word processing, database and spreadsheet
applicationsAbility to prepare and deliver effective oral and
written communication to internal and external customersAbility to
manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
