we achieve it. PurposeThe Senior Development Analyst is responsible
for working with IT management to analyzing business needs,
evaluating development trends and designing databases and
applications which support business processes. The Analyst will
supervise, design, recommend, monitor, code, and optimize our
organization's development platforms. Working within IT
infrastructure, to ensure our applications meet all the
organization's security policies, SOX compliance requirements, IT
standards, operational procedures, performance expectations, and
overall SLA. Design interfaces and supporting integrations with 3rd
party applications and external Application Service Providers.
Lastly, in handling existing and new application environments, help
design, size, build, supervise, and solve all sundry
infrastructure. Mentor and train junior developers and end users on
various applications.Accountabilities
- Work with Senior members of various business units and evaluate
business needs, analyze requirements, build specifications for
applications and database development projects involving teams of
up to 3 developers and of up to one-year duration.
- Define standards and methodologies, project development
lifecycle timelines and create turning points, delegate tasks to
junior developers.
- Develop and modify code/packages/programs/BI dashboards as
required to support business requirements.
- Design and Develop Application and Database Interfaces to
support integration with other internal and 3rd party business
systems.
- Oversee and enforce the source code management process to
ensure proper version/configuration control of all work
product.
- Develop and maintain dev documentation, user manuals and
guidelines.
- Provide rotational support of applications, and associated data
and application integrations/platform, and provide L2 & L3
support/troubleshooting/root-cause analysis
- Monitor, maintain and enhance performance and security of
existing systems through effective implementation and usage of
appropriate tools and procedures.
- Provide capacity planning/reporting of application environments
& platforms, conducting appropriate routine health-checks, as well
as tune/optimize platform/process/integrations
- Coordinate/schedule changes/updates/maintenance/emergency fixes
of production applications and manage the update/patch lifecycle
with managed service providers and application vendors. Education
and Experience
- Bachelor degree or equivalent and demonstrated ability
- Experienced in .NET application development tools
- Proficient in SQL (T-SQL) Design and Development
- Broad job knowledge of theory and principles within a
professional setting or thorough knowledge of specific
technical/operational practices
- MS Visual Studio preferred
- Solid coding/debugging/design Years of Experience3-5 Years'
