Midcon is looking for an 'owner' to excel in Midcon's fast-paced, diverse environment. Midcon Cables Company, a leading provider of cabling and wire interconnect solutions for the defense and aerospace industry has an immediate opening for a Bidding Technician. Midcon incorporates new methods and technologies to provide value added solutions for interconnect applications. The Bidding Technician prepares cost estimates and quotations to assist management in generating new business and retention of existing customers. Analyzes project needs in materials, labor, and other production requirements. This position utilizes drawings, blueprints and knowledge of manufacturing industry to assess project needs. Previous experience in cable assembly or wire harness building a plus! Position requires an employee to be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to accept directions and follow through with little supervision. Position also requires proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Good communication skills are vital. You'll be interacting with outside suppliers, other employees within the bidding scope, and on occasion Management. Good organizational skills are a must for this position. The holder of this position must have and maintain good attendance. Growth opportunities available. Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, particularly costing of components, is preferred but no required.
