The Environmental Services Tech I is responsible for cleaning tasks
in patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices,
clinic areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with
standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department, and
in accordance with Mercy Hospital Joplin standards and
Upholds established standards of cleanliness. Keeps assigned areas
sanitary, attractive and orderly.
1.1. Performs tasks listed on assigned area cleaning work sheet.
1.2. Organizes time to complete special cleaning tasks of windows,
walls, ceiling, and vents.
1.3. Work station and cart are clean, neat, and stocked.
1.4. Works daily with nursing staff so that discharge rooms are
done on a timely basis.
1.5. Practices infection control, standard precautions and safety
policies when carrying out duties.
