Job Description:

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Miami, OK PRN; On Call, applicant must be available on an as needed basis Main Duties: Perform tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coag, serology, blood bank and limited microbiology. Assist with phlebotomy and specimen processing. Follow employee policies, work with fellow employees in a professional productive manner; perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.\
Required Knowledge: General laboratory knowledge, including the use of computers; knowledge of QA and QC as well as knowledge of all areas of the laboratory. Requried Experience: AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Laboratory Science. ASCP MLS/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MLS/MLT certification.
Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a professional courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Keyboard skills are important as is multitasking. May be required to work overtime or other shifts or days as needed. Required to work some holidays.Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
• Frequent walking and/or standing.
• May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
