Purpose The role of Service Desk - Intern is to provide Level 1 support to employees pertaining to computer, desk phone, smartphone and peripheral related incidents, problems and service requests. The Service Desk - Intern also performs assigned technical support duties utilizing standard Service Desk Ticketing software and assist in providing timely resolution to these issues or escalates the issue to the appropriate team.Accountabilities End user support, being the first point of contact for users requesting service or reporting incidents; Document support requests in the Ticketing SystemAnswer incoming phone calls to support end users for busy Service DeskProvide Tier 1 support of desktop hardware and applications and peripheralsTier 1 triage of incident tickets, automated alerts and escalation to support teamsAsset Deployment and tracking including imaging, configuration and deployment standard laptops and desktops; inventory tracking of PCs, laptops, desk phones and other end user peripheralsMobile device support including provisioning and setup of smartphones and tabletsOther duties as assignedFlexible shift availability between 7:00am - 7:00pm; will work with class schedule Education and Experience 1st - 4th year University or College student, currently enrolled in a Computer Systems Technology program or related discipline requiring a co-opTeam player with good interpersonal skills that values communication, collaboration and coordinationAbility to work within a fast pace working environment and to changing prioritiesProven customer service experienceWho we areWe know that the services we provide directly affect and are essential to our customers quality of life and wellbeing.
