Job Description:
Join the dynamic team at Performance Foodservice as a Class B
CDL Delivery Driver and play a crucial role in our mission to
provide exceptional service by delivering food and food-related
products to a wide array of customers. As part of our fleet, you’ll
ensure safe and timely delivery of products to our customers
ranging from family-owned restaurants to large nationwide chains.
This hands-on position is ideal for those who enjoy the freedom of
the road while contributing to the efficiency of local foodservices
operations. Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle to
transport perishable and non-perishable goods to various customer
locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure
that the vehicle is clean and meets all safety standards. Load and
unload cargo, verifying loads against shipping papers and ensuring
proper handling and security. Maintain accurate records of
deliveries, including times, mileage, and destinations, and report
any issues or incidents encountered during the delivery process.
Provide outstanding service and interact professionally with
customers during deliveries. Comply with company policies and legal
guidelines, including traffic laws and regulations concerning size,
weight, and route designations. Handle unexpected situations or
delays and communicate effectively with the logistics coordinator
to update routes or schedules as necessary. Ability to operate and
handle the maintenance of Class B CDL vehicles. Strong
organizational and time management skills. Exceptional
interpersonal and communication skills. Physical ability to lift up
to 50 pounds and handle other physically demanding tasks. Knowledge
of safe loading, unloading, and stacking techniques. Medical

Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean
