MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Systems Technician IV, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. Provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Unix and Windows Hardware support - Troubleshoot and diagnose internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems. Install, and upgrade computers, printers, scanners, phones and other critical hardware. Conduct back-end device configuration, manage security settings, and protocols Coordinate deployment of deliverables and products. Provides troubleshooting and support. Participate in the administration of multiple critical network systems. Must be able to track project studies, plans, action items, etc. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Ability to lift up to 75lbs Ability to maneuver through small spaces in order to pull or run fibers under the floor Work independently to resolve complex issues with critical issues. Knowledge and ability to replace servers or server parts 12-Hour Shift Schedule from 5AM to 5PM , includes weekends and some holidays. Participates in special projects as required. Experience: 5 years of related experience ? Technical skills: Understanding of desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL best practices Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment: CompTIA Security CE is the minimum certification As part of your function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.97 - $44.85. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
