Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leader in global retail with a commitment to
technological innovation, is seeking a seasoned Staff Software
Engineer for our Back End operations within our IT & Data
Management team. At Walmart, we integrate sophisticated engineering
solutions to provide seamless shopping experiences for millions of
customers worldwide. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will have
the opportunity to work on challenging projects that influence the
operations of our vast retail network. This role is instrumental in
building scalable, high-performance applications that support our
logistics, supply chain, and customer service platforms. Design,
develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software
architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define,
design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and
responsiveness of applications. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and
devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Maintain
code integrity and organization. Support continuous improvement by
investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these
for architectural review. Expertise in server-side programming
languages like Java, Python, or Ruby. Strong understanding of
database management and maintenance with SQL or NoSQL databases.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies like
Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of code versioning tools such as
Git. Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certifications in Java, AWS/Cloud services are
preferred but not mandatory.
