year License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri
Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (must obtain prior to
start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Telemetry experience,
inpatient only. Experience and competence in drug titration.
Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care
for all age groups. Conducts assessment, planning, implementation,
and evaluation of patient care. Monitors and coordinates patient
care activities with ancillary departments. Evaluates the overall
effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient
information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner
consistent with established guidelines. May be required to work
varying schedules and shifts according to patient care
requirements. Must be able to stand and walk for most of the time
on duty. Will have significant bending and stooping, as well as
lifting and turning patients with assistance. High risk exposure to
blood and body fluids is present. Physical demands include pushing,
pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs., and pinching up to 15 lbs.
Kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required minimally.
Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent
with nursing practice standards. Evaluation of care includes
managing patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical
comorbidities. Ensures the maintenance of professional
accountability in the provision of patient care. Actively
