Freeman's Acute Care Surgery Opportunity - Seeking to expand our current ACS with an additional surgeon for level II trauma setting - You will become part of a well-established team of experienced surgeons, including both acute care and elective general surgery specialists. You'll benefit from a collaborative group of colleagues and a dedicated team of midlevel providers who contribute to a dynamic and supportive practice environment - Responsibilities include rounding on Emergency General Surgery patients, providing surgical consultations on emergency room and hospital patients, and perform urgent/emergent surgeries and procedures. - Critical Care Fellowship training not required - Flexible scheduling, with 10 to 14 shifts per month 12-hour shifts on call, 12 hour back-up call - Call coverage on off days will be provided by rotation of surgeons in the existing group and other ACS Surgeon. - This is an ACS only position, with no elective surgery responsibilities - Outpatient clinic once a week for patient follow-up on the weeks you provide day time coverage - Da Vinci Xi available but not required to use - ACS does not have to cover vascular cases - Epic EMR coming soon! - Enjoy a fully integrated healthcare delivery system with large primary care and multi-specialty medical staff - Competitive compensation including start bonus - Teaching opportunities are available for medical students and residents - Excellent benefits package including CME allowance, paid relocation assistance, paid malpractice, tail coverage, and more - Near-site, state-of-the art day care/learning center is available exclusively for children of Freeman employees Choose Joplin - Nestled in the picturesque Ozarks of Southwest Missouri, Joplin offers an exceptional quality of life.
