(Physician/MD qualifications required) Neurology - Supervisory Physician Joplin, MO

We are looking for a physician to join our medical group part time to provide direct patient care as well as supervision of the PA-NPs on staff at our office in Joplin, MO. This position offers minimal time commitment and a flexible schedule. The Physician will be supervising the PAs-NPs remotely by phone-text and will also be working 1-2 days per month of direct patient care performing joint injections and BMAC procedures. Great work-life balance with no call, nights, or holidays. We prefer the Supervising Physician to be performing bone marrow procedures, but a qualified mid-level provider could do them if the physician approved.
Duties:
Supervisory role of the PA-NP
Be available via phone-text for remote guidance when not in the clinic
Oversee medical operations
Perform randomized patient-chart review to assure proper treatment procedures are being followed
Availability for consultation and direction of the PA-NP
Can work remote, off site for chart reviews and most supervision
Direct patient care (history and physical exams focused on joint injuries) Review patient records as needed
Treatment plan formulation and recommend options for patients
Answer patients questions and concerns- explain treatment in detail to patients and families
Interpret-read x-rays and MRI
Perform injections-procedures- one day per week required for in-clinic procedures, to include joint injections and BMAC (we can provide training if needed)
Meet with the supervised providers and follow state medical guidelines regarding chart reviews

Requirements:
BCBE in Pain Management, Family medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, or PM&R preferred
Prior experience-background in joint injections and BMAC preferred but we will provide training
MD or DO License to Practice Medicine in MO
Must reside within 75 miles of the office

Schedule:
1-2 days per month for in-clinic procedures (Fridays)
Remote supervisory capacity 1 day per week

Compensation:
$1,500-$2,000-month for supervisory capacity
Additional $1,500-$2,000 per day for in-office procedures (BMAC)
