Job Description:

The Residential Therapist is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) responsible for delivering a full range of clinical services to children and adolescents in their assigned cottage. The therapist is the primary clinician/case manager for children and adolescents in the residential care program. The therapist has the overall responsibility for the cottage treatment team, cottage residents, and the milieu of the cottage. Therapist has broad based authority and responsibility for the therapeutic program. Therapist provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. Therapist demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Therapist will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Therapist reports administratively to the Clinical Supervisor of Turnaround Ranch and administers the cottage team members.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):1.Responsible for providing direct clinical services to children and adolescents withservices consisting of:

• Intake interviews
  • Family therapy
    • Individual therapy
      • Group therapy
        • Case management
          • Case consultation
            • Treatment staffing as required
              • Treatment coordination (both residential and after-care)
                • Community Service activities may be provided by the Residential Therapist when approved by the Program Director.Ongoing responsibility of creating an effective team which provides each aspect of the patients treatment planTreatment team building efforts are planned and conducted by the Residential Therapist to increase the effectiveness, cohesion, and unification of the cottage based team.Participate in the planning, scheduling, and presentation of in-service training for all Turnaround Ranch staff.Communicate all environmental and daily living concerns to the Director.Coordinating all ancillary therapies for and insuring that the treatment team is involved in the development, monitoring, and completion of objectives on the Master Treatment Plan (MTP).Collaborate and integrate with the treatment team members regarding the completion of objectives on MTP.Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor and/or the Program Director.
