Overview: The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Manager, Administrative Supervisor and/or Executive Director, and is responsible for the delivery of efficient, safe patient care through the use of the nursing process, hospital policies and procedures. The Float Registered Nurse will be expected to work in all areas as assigned. Qualifications: * Education : Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. * Licensure : RN Registered Nurse in Missouri. * Experience: Previous experience in Med/Surg and/or Critical Care is preferred. * Certifications : BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), Basic Arrythmia and PEARS or PALS must be completed at the end of orientation or before taking care of patients independently. * Other: Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are required, and the Staff Nurse must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, fax machine, telephone, printer and copy machine. Required to take on-call duty and must be able to travel to the hospital within the required 20 minute time frame. * Preferred Education : Prefer BSN * Preferred Experience : 2-3 years experience preferred. * Preferred Other: Detail and Task Oriented.
