Plant Controller/Finance Manager - Joplin, Mo -OVERVIEWJoin the Joplin Manufacturing Facility as a Plant Controller. In this role you will collaborate with peers to achieve plant goals, partner with plant operations to support business results and the plant mission. Support a strong fiduciary environment, analyze metrics and reporting, and provide business insights. You will have financial leadership responsibility for the entire site, including two salary direct reports. - The Joplin North American Foodservice facility makes frozen products, Pillsbury biscuits and pie in a non-union plant with 525 employees. -As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, you'll gain significant Cross-Functional Team Leadership and People Management experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to Govern and/or Execute Control Activities by overseeing critical month/year-end SOX compliance actions. -KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESEnsure Effective Plant Financial ManagementResponsible for development, execution and monitoring of the annual operating plan, periodic financial forecasts, and monthly financial close.Monitoring financial performance and develop plans to close any gaps to plant targets.Supporting site delivery of annual productivity targets.Ensure Effective Financial ControlsEnsuring the control environment complies with all company policies and supports the safeguarding of company assets.Maintaining audit ready status of internal controls through periodic review and self-audit.Plant Leadership Team ResponsibilitiesCollaborate as a strong voice on the Joplin Plant Leadership TeamSupport development and execution of site strategies, including transformational and large capital project executionProvide support and leadership on cross functional plant and corporate initiatives.Engage in activities to develop all Team Joplin employees. -MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field4+ years of related experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work well on team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact) and coach/develop othersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS7+ years of related experienceAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentExperience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturingExperience with SAP in a manufacturing environmentExperience managing others and leading teamsExperience in food manufacturingProven analytical and strategic skills (Analytic Proficiency)Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skillsAssertive, self-confident, and willing to offer opinions and insights (Plant/Site Leadership)Initiative and ability to work independently and to effectively work with a team (Situational Agility)Ability to influence, develop, and motivate peers (Matrix Relationship Management)Desire to work cross functionally with all plant functions (Cross-Functional Leadership)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities -
