Collar Pet Foods is looking for a Supply Finance Manager to join
our exciting pet food business at our manufacturing plant in
Joplin, MO. This role will support our Joplin, MO plant and our
Miami, OK plant. Who is Red Collar? We are pet people, and to us

ultimately feed. Purpose of Role The Supply Finance Manager serves
as a trusted leader in the Finance organization and provides
financial leadership for the manufacturing sites. The primary
purpose of this role is to partner with the plant manager and other
manufacturing associates in the pursuit of operational excellence
and cost efficiency through a variety of initiatives. This position
provides transparency on operating results and clarifies key
performance indicators for Supply through variance analysis, cost
structure analysis, benchmarking, period reporting, and planning.
The role will be based at the Joplin, MO factory 4 days per week
and the Miami, OK factory 1 day per week. Principal
Accountabilities Partner with all members of the site leadership
team to ensure ownership and accountability of financial
performance, while identifying process improvement and cost
reduction opportunities across all plant related cost categories
(materials; labor; equipment; indirect purchases; and inventory).
Prepare and distribute periodic (e.g. weekly, monthly) plant
financial analysis including insightful commentaries detailing
issues, opportunities, and action plans. Provide routine or ad hoc
analysis and communicate with leadership regarding significant
financial performance variances. Work closely with leadership to
identify opportunities and develop strategies, understand internal
business operations, and make decisions on process development and
implementation to increase efficiencies and create cost savings.
Partner with plant manager, local leadership team, and broader
supply finance team to develop annual financial plans and periodic
forecasts as needed. Responsible for accountability of all
inventories from receipt to usage. This would include driving
continued improvement on waste reductions of each type. Maintain
adequate accounting system records, ensure timely completion of
standard procedures (i.e. period end closing, financial statement
analysis, and daily accounting transactions), and consistently
enhance controls and business solutions designed to mitigate
financial risk. Present plant financial analysis and scorecard to
plant and business unit management, with emphasis on operational
performance Partner with the Plant Manager in the monthly
presentation of operating results and relevant variance analysis to
site Leadership team, Controller and Executive Management Team.
Responsible for Month End period closing, and associated balance
sheet management, accruals and purchase order reconciliation. Be
hands on to ensure process adherence across the plant for all
relevant metrics including, but not limited to Inventory Control
and Risk Management, Cycle Counting Accuracy, Overall Effectiveness
of Equipment(OEE). Order Fulfilment Rate, Inventory Obsolescence,
Vendor Payment Management and Customer Billing (AP and AR are
centralized, but the plant processes are key to a smooth
operation). Support department and plant initiatives- including
quality and safety. Volunteer to lead or co-lead initiatives.
Participate on the plant leadership team and in weekly performance
meetings. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Key
Functional Skills/Knowledge Experience of working in a
manufacturing environment Technical understanding of cost and
management accounting systems and processes, capital project
evaluation, and analytical techniques. Ability to meet deadlines
under time constraints. Working knowledge of Supply processes
(Demand Planning, S&OP, Inventory flow and control, etc.)
General business acumen with demonstrated ability to understand the
functional interdependencies Communicate clearly and effectively,
both verbally and in writing Ability to analyze and make
recommendations from large amounts of data Thinks strategically,
has high level of intellectual curiosity and improvement mindset
Able to manage multiple various projects with sense of urgency Able
to handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and
professionalism Able to work collaboratively with employees in a
variety of departments and build consensus around key initiatives
Proficient with software such as Excel- Word- and PowerPoint-
including the ability to create- modify and ensure accuracy of
complex spreadsheets Knowledge of JDE or other ERP system Ability
to function in a high paced environment with frequent change M
inimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or
related field 5+ years relevant work experience within
manufacturing environment Ability to travel 15% Preferred
