POSITION SUMMARY
Provide leadership and direction for plant-wide operations for $10+ million inventory and 50+ staff in a distribution center for manufacturing facility to ensure all resources are identified and utilized to achieve business goals and results that meet or exceed objectives. Responsibilities include safety, quality, capacity management, receiving, shipping/order fulfillment, inventory management, and traffic and yard management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and annual productivity and metrics of the warehouse to ensure success in supporting the demands and requirements of the operations.
  • Responsible for developing and executing capacity planning and associated staffing needs.
  • Understand, support, and execute the policies and procedures of the company.
  • Provide solid expectations to all departments.
  • Develop strong management team throughout the operations that supports the plants objectives.
  • Identify individuals and develop a plan to prepare them for higher-level positions.
  • Develop, implement and drive continuous improvement objectives.
  • Responsible for establishing a culture of safety throughout the operation. Facilitate regular meetings with supervisors and key team leads to review safety & performance goals and results.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Responsible for financial measurements including budgets, cost standards and productivity measurements.
  • Work collaboratively across all plants and all levels of the organization to understand business priorities and to implement strategic initiatives to effectively meet objectives.
  • Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others at all levels of the organization. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Business preferred. Advanced degree or additional training in lean manufacturing a plus.

    Experience: M inimum of 5 years distribution and warehouse experience utilizing WMS and RF technology. If non-degreed, a minimum of 10 years distribution and warehouse experience required.

    Required Skills:
    • Distribution and warehouse knowledge in areas such as safety and housekeeping.
    • Experience managing a DC with a locator system and rules based put aways and picking.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Analytical/quantitative problem resolution.
    • Ability to make good decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to develop staff and lead the department for continuous improvement.
    • Ability to recognize waste and/or losses and identify solution to reduce or minimize losses through recognition, utilization and prioritization of resources.
    • Ability to work as a team across all functionalities of the business.
    • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
