Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in engineering or CNC machining and a proven ability to develop accurate and detailed costing data. This role is critical to supporting proposals, bids, and long-term business strategies by ensuring all cost estimates are reliable, data-driven, and aligned with aerospace industry standards. · Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop precise cost estimates. · Create and maintain detailed costing models that capture labor, materials, outside vendor services, tooling, setup, cycle times, and overhead. · Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to validate assumptions and ensure manufacturability. · Prepare clear and accurate cost breakdowns for internal review and decision-making. · Continually improving the estimating process by identifying cost drivers and opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness. · Maintain and update historical cost databases to support future quoting and forecasting. · Support leadership and sales teams in customer discussions with data-driven cost justifications. · Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, special processes, and customer requirements in all cost estimates.
