*Behavior Technician*

We are looking to add to our Behavioral Fitness team. Open positions including Full-time, Part-time, and on call rotation which includes all hours' day/night, weekends and holidays. This position requires that you have at least one (1) year of verifiable relevant experience in working with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and live within 30 minutes of Joplin, MO. Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a plus but not required.*

What you will be doing: *
The Behavior Technician is an active responder on the Jasper County Crisis Prevention and Response Team that assists individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness as they learn coping skills to de-escalate, provide support to staff and families that function in a supportive role for those individuals when they experience a crisis event. You will be trained in and apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis as you assist individuals in meeting their goals. You will work side by side with a Board Certified Behavior Analysts and earn Registered Behavior Technician Certification. You will implement the individualized and Behavior support plans and assist in assessment and training procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *

* Confidence in interaction with individuals of all ages and with a variety of disabilities.

* Ability to learn and understand applied behavior analysis principles and apply them to various situations. Knowledge of graphing and formulas used in programs including but not limited to Excel.

* Have a positive attitude while demonstrating dependability, promptness and responsibility.

Qualifications: *

* One (1) year of verifiable relevant experience in working with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

* Experience in ABA is a plus but not required

* Bachelor degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalency required.

Minimum Requirements: *

* Must be at least 21 years of age

* Proof of current vehicle insurance

* Valid driver's license

* Reliable transportation with working heat and air

* Able to pass extensive background screening including required drug screening

* Able to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly

* Must live within 30 minutes of Joplin, MO

* Able to meet on call rotations during weekends and holidays

Essential Functions: *
The essential functions of this role must be met by an employee in order to perform their job requirements.
As a routine part of this position working hours may vary which could include any shift/day to meet the needs of the individual served. It may be necessary to work in other facilities, work additional hours if need arises and may also be required to adjust schedules to meet the needs of the individuals served. This position requires driving for business and transportation of individuals served. It is required to have dependable transportation with functioning heat and air conditioning systems and functioning seat belts for safety.
