Full-Time and Part-Time Preschool Teacher positions available. As a teacher at Woodland Academy, you will Supervise and insure safety of children at all times Teach the tenants of the Christian faith daily Plan and implement an enriching, Reggio inspired curriculum that inspires and helps children develop and grow as individuals Maintain an engaging, curated environment for children to explore and learn Plan and implement FUN activities and projects that support children's learning in the areas of many different cultures, holidays and values. Work with teaching team to set-up and maintain classroom. Work with your mentor teacher and PD coaches to continually improve quality standards Attend all staff meetings, professional development training, set up/clean up days and team planning meetings. Qualifications and competencies: CDA or ECE degree preferred Completed mandated background checks Working Conditions/Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to: Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs Physical ability to sit on the floor or low chair and to squat down to be at eye level with children for up to 15 minutes at a time Ability to stand and walk for up to one hour at a time Level of physical fitness that allows for keeping pace with the activity level of young children.
