Job Description Job Description Graduate Nurse - Full-Time Night Shifts Overview: This role is for a Graduate Nurse working full-time during night shifts in the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, delivering comprehensive care to patients with intricate pulmonary and neurological issues. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient confidentiality while upholding professional standards. Applicants must possess a valid RN license, Basic Life Support certification, and show proficiency in managing acute stroke, COPD, and other pulmonary patients who need ongoing assessment and care. Position Overview: The Graduate Nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, maintaining professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers and coordinating patient care with various departments. Position Details: Graduate Nurse Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Experienced Nurse Sign-On Bonus: $13,000 Neuro RN Position Hours: 36 hours per week, Night Shifts Location: Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, Festus, MO 63028 The Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit: Common pulmonary conditions treated include COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia. Patients may require high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, or have tracheostomies or chest tubes. These individuals need thorough assessments, aggressive therapies, and continuous nursing oversight. We collaborate closely with the Stroke Coordinator to manage Acute Stroke and TIA patients, occasionally utilizing tele-neuro services. Neuro patients necessitate frequent evaluations to detect subtle changes in their condition, and stroke education is provided. Qualifications: Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire. Why Join Us?
